Hey Hi! Thanks for stopping by. I’m Candice btw! Super excited you’re here. Not sure what brought you this way but I figured you’re on this page because you’re wondering who the heck I am. I have about 44 years to explain to ya in a few short paragraphs (don’t worry there will be more to come in new posts). For now, I’ll keep it brief but definitely shoot me a message if you wanna know more. I don’t have many secrets and if my experience can help you in any way I’ll gladly give you an earful or just listen if that’s what you need. One thing I’ve learned is that deep down t we all know what we need to do. It just takes some talking through it to figure it out.
Listening to other people talk is kinda why I became a hairdresser. In a world of non stop talkers, I love being a sounding board for people. I actually hear all kinds of secrets in my chair. When I said I don’t have many secrets I meant it. I don’t have any. I’m an open book but I do have a few secrets I keep for other people. No, I won’t be divulging them in any blog posts. I’m pretty good at keeping my mouth shut.
Let’s get on with some basics. I was a stay-at-home mom for a long time. During that time we fostered children. I became a group exercise instructor after taking classes at a community rec center. After doing that for a little while I saw a need for nutrition coaching and went through a 12 month nutritional program. At the ripe old age of 41, I decided to go to hair school and try my hand at the hairdressing industry. That’s where I am currently. I love my job! It’s a lot of hours or at least it was (I’m sitting at 30 right now, which is good for me both mentally and physically, but I’ve been asked to work more hours, which I don’t wanna do lol). My body hurts most days and this job isn’t for wimps. My aches and pains are mostly driven by the Hashimoto’s autoimmune crap I got diagnosed with a year after I started school. I’m still navigating this one but as soon as I have more answers I’ll be blogging about that. One thing that’s REALLY helping me is GLP 1 peptides. Can’t wait to tell you about this.
My dream is to sell EVERYTHING we own and buy an RV so we can travel the US and find where we want to park our old asses one day. Florida, Tennessee, California, who knows, but I’m excited to find it. Until then I’m working on my blogging and loving my life as a hairdresser.
I plan on talking about all of the above things and more in the days to come. Hope you’re intrigued enough to stick around. Better yet, leave a comment telling me what you want to hear more about now and I’ll make it happen.
